A merino base layer built to disappear under everything else
The Men's Merino 200 Tech Leggings are base layer bottoms, and the whole point of a base layer is that it stops being noticeable the moment it goes on. These are knitted from soft merino wool at a 200 fabric weight, which is light enough to sit under trousers or over nothing at all without adding bulk. A gusseted construction keeps the leg free to move rather than pulling at the knee, and the fibre itself does the work that a synthetic has to fake. Part of the possum and merino knitwear range.

Why merino rather than a synthetic base layer?
Merino fibre is fine enough to sit against skin without the prickle associated with coarser wool, and it manages moisture rather than trapping it. That matters most when activity rises and falls, because the fabric keeps working in both directions instead of only insulating. It also resists odour on its own, which is why a merino layer can be worn several times over before it needs washing. The fibre in these leggings measures between roughly 15 and 19 micron, which is at the fine end of the merino range.
How do the Merino 200 Tech Leggings sit under other clothing?
Flat, and that is the intention. The 200 weight is substantial enough to feel like a proper layer but thin enough that trousers go on over the top without fighting. The gusset is the detail that stops a base layer riding or binding, so the fit stays put through a long day rather than needing adjustment. There are no bulky seams across pressure points.
Care is straightforward. Machine wash warm with like colours, skip the softener, and line dry in the shade rather than tumble drying. Treated that way, a merino layer holds its shape and its fineness for a long time, which is most of the argument for buying wool in the first place.
Shipping
We dispatch your order within 24-48hrs (provided your payment has cleared). Once your ordered is dispatched, it takes 1-3 business days for your item to get delivered if you live in metropolitan areas. If you are in regional areas, it may take up to 3-5 business days for your order to get delivered.
If your order is placed on a Sunday or public holiday, please allow until the next business day for your order to be prepared and dispatched.
Please note that if you provide an incorrect address, there will be delays in the dispatch/delivery times for your order.
Australian shipping costs are calculated by weight and destination location upon checkout. We are currently running a promotion where all orders within Australia that are over $100 receive complimentary standard shipping.
International Shipping
Transit times can take up to 8-15 days on top of our usual dispatch time of 24-48hrs. Please note, that transit time can take longer if your order gets held up at the country’s processing facility. Please note, that all import tax and duty costs are to be absorbed by the customer. UGG Originals is not responsible for any tax duties, customs fees or any other import costs imposed by the countries local authorities.
International orders that are over $400 AUD receive FREE EXPRESS shipping. For all orders below $400, a $55 AUD EXPRESS shipping fee applies, or $45 AUD for International Standard Shipping.
If there is a change of mind on any international orders, we will happily issue a refund for the cost of the original item. Please note - we will not be reimbursing the original cost of shipping paid by the consumer.
Return to Sender: in some instances, the item will be returned back to us if the order remains at a posting facility for too long. Once this item is returned to us - the consumer will be liable for the postage cost incurred.
Returns
Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
